Taylor Auxiliary Refrigeration Notice

Electrical and refrigerant guidance for auxiliary systems converted from R-134a to R-513A.

In order to remain compliant with EPA AIM Act HFC (40 CFR Part 84, Subpart B), Taylor Company has chosen to eliminate the use of R-134a and selected R-513A as the replacement.

All R-134a auxiliary refrigeration systems have been converted to R-513A. This machine has undergone such a conversion and, as such, the electrical and refrigeration information listed on the data label may be inaccurate. Due to the expansive nature of this conversion, no specific statement may be made about the specific machine. The following is general guidance for how the electrical and refrigeration details may have changed. For more support, contact [email}.

Electrical

Electrical ratings posted on the data label may be ±1.0 Amp of the posted value. If this change to the rating leads to any required changes at the location, those must be addressed before restarting the machine. If the new tolerance is close to the rated values of the current circuit, contact [email} for a calculated rating before reconnecting the machine.

Refrigerant

The refrigerant in the auxiliary (cabinet or hopper) system has been converted to a different refrigerant than the one the machine was originally constructed with. As such, the system may have different refrigeration values than what the data label calls for. Please refer to the table below to determine how this change may affect this equipment.
