Taylor Company is proud to be named the first-ever Red Spoon Vendor of the Year by American Dairy Queen, Corp. (ADQ), at the restaurant chain’s biennial DQ® Expo held in San Juan, Puerto Rico. The Taylor team was acknowledged with the award based on the outstanding service and support it consistently provides to global DQ operations. Taylor Company is a part of UTC Climate, Controls & Security, a unit of United Technologies Corp. (NYSE: UTX).
At the DQ Expo, Paul Blackley, ADQ vice president of International Supply Chain, presented Taylor Company with the award. It was accepted by Melissa McCormick, senior vice president, global sales, service and marketing, Taylor, which she accepted on behalf of the company’s international team. “We are honored to be the first recipient of the Red Spoon Vendor of the Year Award,” said McCormick. “We value our relationship with the Dairy Queen® system and this was an unexpected validation of our efforts. The credit is due to the hard-working and customer focus of the Taylor-DQ team.”
In addition to providing the highest level of customer service, Taylor has a strong history of collaborating with Dairy Queen. In 2015, Taylor Company developed and implemented a cost-saving preventive maintenance program for franchisees, which launched in Mexico and was expanded globally due to its success. The program improved franchisees’ equipment operations at a reasonable cost through regularly scheduled maintenance. Metrics showed franchisees enrolled in the program experienced improved technician response times and lower equipment downtimes.
Taylor Company was also credited for its strong support of DQ Top Curl events, a DQ restaurant employee competition which identifies the global crew member that produces the best DQ signature treats. Taylor personnel set up the equipment and provided tech support at the events, which were held in Asia, Mexico and the U.S.
Taylor international service representatives service more than 6,700 DQ locations in 29 countries. “The service the team provides is exceptional and very collaborative,” said McCormick. “They’re creative, hard-working and do whatever makes sense to support DQ success.”
