TAYLOR COMPANY DEBUTS PLANS FOR ONGOING COMMUNITY AND EMPLOYEE INVESTMENTS
MARCH 16, 2022
Taylor Company, a premier manufacturer of commercial grill, soft serve and frozen beverage equipment, is proud to announce formal plans for investing in and giving back to its community. To support these efforts, a Community and Culture Committee was created to support the vision of engaging Taylor Company and its employees in the community through volunteer opportunities and drives benefitting local charities. Taylor Company plans to recognize one local charity a month for the duration of 2022.
This list of charities was curated through input from Taylor Company employees. From the internal feedback the company identified a dozen service opportunities that were directly selected by the company employees. In January, Taylor Company kicked off this initiative by donating to and participating with the Stateline Boys & Girls Club. The local club serves youth ages 6-18 with outstanding after school programs that support students’ future success and growth.
“The work that the Stateline Boys & Girls club is doing is truly inspiring. Being able to work alongside such selfless and committed individuals to make a child’s day just a little brighter is what makes the committee efforts worthwhile,” said Jim Minard, Taylor Company Chief Operating Officer. “We look forward to having a continued relationship with the club along with supporting 11 other charities the committee will be focusing on this year.”
In February Taylor Company contributed to Beloit Meals On Wheels—a program that provides meals and dignity to the homebound, elderly and disabled throughout the greater Beloit, Wisc. area. Follow along through our various social channels for future initiatives and events.
Taylor Company isn’t just giving back to their community, but to its employees as well. It is very important to the company that its employees are recognized, appreciated, and proud to work at Taylor. With this is in mind, the Community and Culture Committee is dedicated to a monthly activity for Taylor employees to instill a working environment of employee appreciation. This can include things like a sweet treat or a gift card to a favorite shopping outlet.
The committee is also partnering with the Taylor HR team to reboot an online employee recognition and reward system that can be accessed by any employees from their phones, tablets, and laptops. Having a platform that makes it quick and easy to give and receive support will only improve teamwork and culture at the company. Taylor Company is excited to engage more deeply with our community and employees. We look forward to the events in 2022 both inside and outside of the Taylor facility.
