| On July 1st, 2006 all products entering the European Union must comply with the Restriction of Hazardous Substances (RoHS) Directive. In response to this regulatory directive, the Taylor has identified affected product lines, components, and manufacturing processes. We are working with our external suppliers and amending in-house processes to ensure compliance on or before July 1st, 2006. Toward that goal, Taylor has already revised several key processes: 1) As of July 1st, 2006, electronic controls used in newly manufactured units will not contain lead solder and will be fully RoHS compliant. 2) As of March 31, 2006, lead solder formerly used in our manufacturing processes has been eliminated and is replaced with an environmentally conscious soldering substance. 3) Hexavalent chromate coatings used on fasteners and galvanized steel have been eliminated in favor of the approved trivalent chromium coatings. The aforementioned statements demonstrate Taylor's commitment toward meeting the provisions RoHS directive. We will continue amending processes and altering components to obtain full compliance on or before July 1st, 2006. |
